San Luis Valley Happenings for 2010
The Pueblo Local Census Office is accepting applicants across Colorado, including the San Luis Valley, to work for the 2010 Census. Census jobs are ideal for retirees, college students, recent graduates, stay-at-home parents, those seeking a second job to earn extra cash, and others seeking temporary, part-time work. Jan. 31 - ScSEED & Saguache County Credit Union are launching Mountain Money, a local currency for Saguache County. Mountain Money will be launched on January 31, 2010 during the Celebration of Ranching and Frontier Spirit at the Saguache Community Building. Come celebrate with a potluck lunch and live music, including the debut of the MoMo theme song "Almost Golden." Check out a showcase of businesses that will accept MoMo and trade in your USD for MoMo. Local goods market starts at 10am, lunch at noon, music and stories from 1-3pm, and a bluegrass jam from 3-4pm. This one day only trade in your ScSEED $ for Mountain Money.
