Are you ready to relax? Are you looking for some peace and quiet combined with good old fashioned fellowship? Mogote Meadow can offer you both. For RV'ers and campers alike, there are 7 acres of grass and shade trees where you can meet up with old and new friends to play a nightly game of cards or dominoes in the recreation hall, or to just sit back, admire the flowers, watch the hummingbirds, and take in that fresh mountain air. The park is quiet and yet there is always something going on. Grab your pole and go fishing in one of several prime fishing streams nearby or head five miles into Antonito to take a ride on the scenic Cumbres and Toltec Railroad. For the more daring adventurer, why not wrestle a Colorado gator, just north of Alamosa. The possibilities are endless. Here at Mogote June 15 - Labor Day, you can look forward to a delicious pancake breakfast in the recreation hall Sunday mornings (breakfast is free, but donations are accepted for the Children's Home in Portales, New Mexico), or a Potluck dinner every Wednesday night - just bring your dishes and appetite. After dinner and cards, it is time to kick back, and what better way to do so than in one of our cozy cabins. Don't let the word 'cozy' fool you - these cabins are complete: two bedrooms, one bath, a living/dining area with TV, and a kitchen stocked with linens, pots, dishes, utensils, and appliances. We want you to be comfortable and to enjoy your stay and we will do our best to make that happen. For you RVers, your comfort is in the front of our mind as well. Several sites are shaded and have concrete patios and all sites are full hook-up. Come choose the site that fits your needs. Tent sites are also available. Our showers and restrooms are clean and we offer laundry facilities. If you need propane and ice, don't worry, we've got you covered. There is even a public phone to help you keep in touch. Pets are always welcome here at Mogote for $5 per pet per night. You might even see Mark’s cat Missy wandering around. We just ask that you please keep your pets on a leash as you're out and about and clean up after them.
